The Mercedes Benz C-Class are cool cars, if you want more performance get an AMG model. But if you get, say a... C280 model, you can swap on some used AMG, or CLK/SLK rims and make it look sportier. Also mount on a (tasteful) trunk spoiler and tint the windows and there are other accessories such as body kits, different tail lights, head lights, etc.... to make it your own. If you can get a manual or auto with manual mode transmission it will make it more responsive, or install a performance chip/module if you want quicker acceleration. But stock they're usually around 195HP

I think the C-class is a good car but, that depends on your frame of reference. The new-style c-class, in particular, is nice. Depending upon your choice of engine (C280/C300, C320/C350, C55/C63), it could be fun. The low-end engines, I find, to be sluggish. Fine for getting from point A to B but, not particularly "spirited". The middle grade is more refined but, not "fast". The AMG engines are great but, very pricey. Most of my experience on the C-class is as service loaners from the dealer but, I found the interior materials to be "so-so". This is only for the previous generation C-class. The new C-class may be different. Honestly, though, if you want to impress people, you will not do it in a C-class. You really need a flagship vehicle (Mercedes S/CL/SL-class, BMW 6/7-series, Lexus LS460/LS600hL, Audi A8/S8, Range Rover, etc.) to impress. Even in these vehicles, you will only impress some of the time. Some will argue about the impressiveness of the C63 AMG or the Audi S4/RS4, etc. but, most people cannot tell the models are "special". Only the "car guys" can tell.

We are total Mercedes AMG fans, but unless you get the C63 AMG, you can't call the C-Class impressive.

If you want an impressive Mercedes, choose a Mercedes CLS63 AMG, a Mercedes S65 AMG, or a Mercedes CL65 AMG.
