Hobbabob is regularly astounding,,,,,maximum likely to be constrained move contained in the radiator,,,,,is mostly a defective fan take carry of. If it really is a straght-6, the 104 engine, think about head gasket subject matters. The broking I artwork for does head gasket jobs on 104 engines on a known foundation. it really is an excellent engine, a lot of torque, and it is properly worth repairing if something else of the vehicle is in solid challenge. you ought to take it to a broking and get an total estimate on all the topic matters the vehicle has. An autonomous keep would not inform you about each and every thing it needs, so as that they gained't scare you away. it is properly worth sinking some money into it rather of shopping for a sparkling vehicle,,,,,,,no human being builds autos that properly anymore.

If your fan has a low speed resistor (white ceramic box on the left inner fender, remove the connectors and test for connectivity. These often burn out.

Reguardless the thermostat i would replace anyways, its a inexspensive part, and a easy fix.As far as the relay try and locate it, it will be a big square or retangular plastic box.Im not sure the exact location for your vechicle but it should be a plastic box that you can open and on the top portion is a layout of all the fuses and relays, locate the one for fan and replace. If you can't locate it, try and calling a benz dealership and ask them where its located or look into a cliltons, the box could be in a different location.GL

The underside of the fuse box lid should have a fuse and relay schematic ( yellow paper ) attached to it. It will pinpoint which relay is for the aux. fan. If you do not have this sheet, get one from the dealer. They're cheap and it will save you a lot of aggravation every time you need to check fuses or relays.

As for sensors, you have the temp sensors on the cyl. head. and the pressure switch on the A/C system as the likely culprits if it is a sensor failure.

Don't forget to also check the ceramic fan resistor. It is often overlooked but it has a tendency to crack over the years due to the vibrations it is subjected to over time.
