The E55 AMG and E63 AMG both trumped the M5 for the last 6 years (even when the M5 had a horsepower and torque advantage, the E55/63 was still faster). The new C63 AMG has outpaced the M3 on every single test (Google this and you'll see) but it doesn't handle as well. Frankly, I'd take the best speed and really good handling over second-string speed and great handling.



The BMW Alpina B7 and the S-class AMG shouldn't even be compared. The S-class will watch as the B7 become a distant rearview mirror image.



In the end, AMG always wins. The engines are more meticulously crafted, much better engineered, and the whole package is classier. BMWs are just for leasing and throwing away when they get too problematic.

In a comparison between the latest M3 and the C63 AMG sedan, the Benz has more horsepower (451 vs 414) and is a few tenths quicker to 60 mph. Pricing data suggest that the Benz winds up doing this for about $3,700 less than the Beemer.

It would be better if you were to compare specific models to each other. For example, the new V8 M3 vs. the new V8 C63. Both the AMG and M divisions have had some good cars and some amazing cars. It's harder to say one is a clear winner over the other.

Mercedes have it in all of its classes.



BMW's highest horsepower is only 500hp

Mercedes highest horsepower is around 614hp



However, if you compare by the correct comparisons, BMW are relatively better. For example a M3 can beat C class AMG. M5 can beat E class AMG. I also heard the BMW 7 alphina is better than the S class amg.

M power and AMG are two diferent thing at all ... but i think M power is better , cuz i watch a video in bbc top gear , the compare BMW M3 & Mercedes-Benz C class AMG ,,, BMWs engine was 6 cylenders and another one was 8 Cylenders ,,, at the end bmw M power was successfull in the race....bmw company is professionally making 6 cylenders powerfull engines for another companies like AUDI , VW ....

Ok lets clear this up the C63AMG is quicker than the M3. The M3 handles better.
